Model United Nations (MUN) conference is scheduled on 12th and 13th November 2021 at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad. This student conference is sponsored by AICTE under the scheme “SPICES” which promotes student club activities in Engineering Institutions/Universities. This conference aims to provide a unique opportunity to engage students in a professional and collaborative environment to develop their research, communication and leadership skills.
OUTCOMES OF MUN:
Enhances leadership qualities. 2. Builds Self Confidence. 3. Makes an individual aware about recent political, social and economic issues. 4. Enhances negotiation skills and diplomatic courtesy. 5. Improves public speaking. 6. Builds analytical and logical thinking. It is an attempt to create a dialogue on the challenges that the world faces at present, an endeavour to put students into the framework of an international organisation and sum up possible ways to successfully combat challenges. This will increase their experience and knowledge of broad-based world issues with reinforcing the message of personal responsibility.
ABESEC MUN 2021 offers an exceptional opportunity for students to engage in exciting discussion with students of outside colleges about subjects that gripped the world community in the past. The participants will be tested on the topics assigned by the expert committee on different attributes such as country assigned, formulate opinions and relevant content of peer groups etc. According to MUN guidelines, three Committees (UNHRC, UNGA, UNSC) will allocate countries to all participants. The performance of each peer group will be evaluated by the judges deputed by MUN and will be facilitated by awards and certificates.
