UBA@ABESEC all stakeholders meet was organised in ABESEC premise. The agenda of the meet was to bring all the stakeholders at same platform. The main purpose of the meet was to discuss the future plans of action of UBA@ABESEC. The IIT-Delhi officials, Prof. Priyanka Kaushal and Dr. Ashish Ranjan, Dr. Gajendra Singh, mentor of UBA-ABESEC, Village Matiala Pradhan, Sh. Sandeep Kumar and representative of Dhabarasi, Sh. Tahir Ali addressed the gathering and meet ended with discussions on points of planning joint activities and increased cooperation.
A national seminar on role of women in addressing issues related to water, sanitation and hygiene with existing government scheme was organized by HIIT in collaboration with ABES EC. The program sponsored by national commission for women (NCW) G.O.I witnessed the delegates from Unicef India, NITI Ayog, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan (Gramin). The envoys from Ministries of Health and Family welfare also graced the occasion. Prof. P.K. Viswas, Dr. Vijay Athavale, Director, ABESEC, Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Ojha, DDG(Stat) in Ministry of health and welfare, Dr. SP Singh, Ms. Naheed Aqueel, chairperson-Prayatna Foundation, Lucknow, Mr. Harish Chandra, retired Indian statistical Services, Md. Farooq, consultant of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Gramin), Dr. Gajendra Singh, Dean academics and Professor, ABESEC and Dr. Aradhana Kumari, Assistant Professor, JNU, New Delhi addressed the gathering on related issues.
UBA team of ABESEC in joint collaboration with Value Education cell of ABESEC organized a talk on value education among the teachers of primary school of village Kushaliya, an adopted village by ABESEC. Ms. Nitika Jain, registrar ABESEC was the resource person of the workshop. She emphasized the need of value education and shared the tips of happy and joyful life in individual’s life and appealed to participants to convey this message to their students in their own language. Mrs. Tanuja Sharma, principal, primary school Kushaliya arranged the event.
A team of Four Faculty Mr. Rohit Rastogi (Nodal officer-UBA@ABESEC), Mr. Krishna Vir Singh (CSE), Dr. Vikas Jindal (CSE) and Mr. Sumit Maheshwari (EN) with group of students represented ABEEC at Tech4Sewa Event at IIT-Delhi organized in joint collaboration with Vijnan Bharti. The UBA teams of ABESEC moved to the adopted villages in above dates and planted in their govt. school premises. The team interacted with the teachers also on Plastic free movement. UBA-ABESEC team was supported by the Ethicraft club of ISKCON Ghaziabad, leaded by Mr. Vaibhav and they accompanied in the activities. The Team members distributed themselves in different community area of the villages where they spread the awareness against the use of polythene made materials which affect all the three components of environment which are atmosphere, land mass and the water Bodies. The UBA team parallel planted the plants in different areas of village and distributed some to the villagers. This awareness campaign was conducted in all the adopted villages and in every community. Villagers were very happy with the efforts of students of ABESEC who came to them for themselves in holidays.
Mr. Shardool Veer Vikram (Student CSE-Final year and Chair UBA) and Mr. Divyanshu Jaiswal (Student IT-Final year and Vice Chair-UBA) represented ABESEC in this meet. All the Associated participating members of UBA in the Delhi-NCR regions were present including the National Coordinator of UBA Prof. Virendra Kumar Vijay and UBA national office bearers Prof. Vivek Kumar, Dr. Priyanka Kaushal. Prof. Vijay explained the various roles of teams under UBA. Many success stories of other institutions were presented there. The activities of UBA wing and success story of ABES Engineering College was also presented by Mr. Divyanshu Jaiswal in a well organised and efficient manner. The entire participating member appreciated the work done by UBA@ABESEC. They also praised ABESEC action for initiating a campaign on making its adopted Villages plastic free.
On Gandhi Jayanti of 2019, honorable Vice Chancellor, AKTU-Lucknow, Prof. Vinay Kr. Pathak honored UBA-ABESEC along with 20 other higher Education institutes of U.P. with the excellence award in social work. ABESEC team achieved this honour just after the one year of UBA-Wing establishment in ABESEC campus. Mr. Rohit Rastogi (Nodal officer), Mr. Shardool Veer Vikram and Mr. Divyanshu Jaiswal represented ABESEC in this program and exhibited their presentations and poster along with Khadi Bags and Project ideas, which was highly appreciated by the audiences.
The Event was organized by the department of Computer Science and Engineering of ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad in Joint collaboration with UBA-ABESEC. HoD-CSE motivated the entire organizers and the students to involve in this workshop to make the event successful. The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Rohit Rastogi and he talked on the future prospects of solar energy which the world will adopt in future. Team of Mr. Shivam Gupta, Mr. Vishal Arya and Mr. Subhash Chauhan conducted the workshop for 50 students. They also stressed the need for the student involvement in such techno-social activities.
Mr. Vivek Kumar Singh, MCA final Year student and student team leader of Auto Solar Irrigation System project, represented the approved funded projects’ presentation at IIT-Delhi. All the Associated members of UBA across India were present including the National Coordinator of UBA Prof. Virendra Kumar Vijay, Prof. Vivek Kr. And Dr. Priyanka. National coordinators of UBA explained the various roles of teams under UBA. Roles of Subject Expert Group were explained well by the coordinators in the meeting. ABESEC representative, Mr. Vivek Kr. presented progress of funded projects. The coordinators evaluated and discussed the prototype of projects.
