Departmental FAQs

The inception year of the EN Department is 2008.
09 batches have passed since the inception of the department.
Around 1000 students have successfully graduated from the department and all are doing great in their field of work.
The Bright students are awarded as per college Policy. According to Policy, the topper students of every section and session are awarded.
Graduates may opt for both private as well as public sector. Few core companies are Schneider Electric, ABB, Crompton Greaves Limited, Siemens Ltd, Reliance Power Ltd, ONGC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, CIL, PGCIL, NTPC, NHPC, Havells. Graduates need to appear in GATE for pursuing M.Tech and join PSU.
Electrical and electronics engineering graduates are highly demanded in Software/IT Field, Technical sales as well as EdTech companies. Huge career opportunities are also available in defence and banking sector.
Technical Trainings are provided to the students with resource persons from the industries/ having vast exposure. Special interaction sessions are organised to the students, so that they can be familiar with the requirement of the industry, work ethics and complete process of hiring of industries. Students are sent to relevant industries for internship and industrial trainings. Industrial visits are regularly held.
The average annual package for Electrical & Electronics Engineering Graduates was INR. 3.89 Lac.
The highest annual package for Electrical & Electronics Engineering Graduates was INR. 12 Lac.
The department provides special classes for the preparation of GATE. The students are guided properly for selecting and appearing in competitive examinations for higher studies. Many of our graduates have pursued their post qualification degrees from abroad.
Department has a strong mentor- mentee system. Mentees are assigned to the faculty members who look after the holistic development of the students and strongly help them to achieve their goals. Effective mentoring is done with regular progress review and support to students. The personal development of student, progress in academics, involvement in curricular & extra-curricular activities, industrial exposure, training for skill building, projects and placement records are all tracked regularly. The process has resulted in enhanced academic performance of the student as well as their overall personality development. Our students are doing excellent in various fields and are getting placed in reputed organizations.
The project is selected and approved through department project committee consisting of senior faculty members and they ensure that:
  • The project addresses an industrial or a social problem, and the solution proposed is technically and economically feasible.
  • The project leads to innovation and creativity.
  • The project demonstrates the skill and knowledge that the student has acquired over three years of his/her study.
  • The project developed is such that it lead to at least one paper publication or patent.
Financial assistance is provided to students. As per the policy, the student need to fill a form (S- 28) for the permission and another form (S-29) for reimbursement of various expenses to publish a paper in journal/ proceedings/ to attend conference, seminar, workshop or competitions.
An established Grievance Redressal Committee exists at the department level to deal with the grievances of the students as well as staff (Teaching & non-teaching).
