Research is one of the major components of Higher Education System after teaching and learning to achieve aims and objectives. At ABESEC, we consider active involvement of our established researcher, faculties and induction of PG students primarily and UG students secondarily to enhance their orientation towards research based concept of Higher Education.

Mission

Research and Innovation Cell has been established in ABES Engineering College with the pursuit of excellence in research across the domains of engineering &technology, science and humanities and management.

Objectives and Goals

To nurture research culture among by encouraging research-based activities in newly emerging and challenging areas.
To foster research collaborations within the faculty, across faculty and with agencies outside the college.
To organizes several research related programs such as expert talk, seminars, workshops and training sessions.
To motivate the faculty members to undertake research activities and supervise PhD programs.
To submit research proposals for Sponsored Projects to funding institutions such as the AICTE, UGC, DST, SERB etc.
To motivate faculty and students to publish good quality research papers.
To undertake research projects and consultancy from industry and academia collaborations
To make efforts towards identifying and filing potential intellectual property
To provide an ecosystem conducive to the development of incubation centre

Message from Dean Research

Dr. Rohit Sharma, Dean Research

Dr. Rohit Sharma is currently serving as the Dean (Research) at ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad. He holds a Post-Doctoral degree from South Ural State University, Russia, and a Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Patna. With extensive experience in academia and research, Dr. Sharma has established himself as a prolific researcher, authoring over 70 SCIE and 120 SCOPUS publications, along with 25 books in collaboration with esteemed publishers such as Springer, Taylor and Francis, and IEEE.

Dr. Sharma's innovative endeavors have led to the filing of 22 patents, with three granted to date. He serves as an editor for several prestigious journals, including CAEE Elsevier, SETA Elsevier, Expert Systems Wiley, IET Communications, IEEE Transactions on Consumable Electronics, and ACM Transactions on Autonomous and Adaptive Systems. As a senior member of IEEE and a member of other technical societies like ISTE and IAENG, Dr. Sharma has demonstrated his commitment to advancing research and innovation.

Under his guidance, five scholars have been awarded their Ph.D.s. Additionally, Dr. Sharma has spearheaded nine renowned conferences in collaboration with IEEE and Springer, further solidifying his reputation as a leading expert in his field.

We aim to guide our faculty in advancing innovative, interdisciplinary themes and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the number of publications in reputed journals / Indexed conferences, external funding, securing grants and awards to support faculty diversity, and increasing collaborations across academic institutions.
